Phoenix Children's Museum

It was a rare rainy day in Phoenix so we decided to try out the brand new Children's Museum downtown.  I have to been to many of these kinds of places back when I was teaching, but this was by far the best, most incredible museum I have ever been to!

It was beyond beautiful - decorated with real art that had been created to enhance each of the exhibits.  There were sculptures, murals, found objects, and an overall attention to detail as if a child had designed it all.  I was just in awe of everything and it goes without saying that Everett loved it, too!  "Play, play, play" he chanted over and over again as he wiggled away from us and into the pretend kitchen or market or the race car track or ballroom.  I could have spent another couple hours there.  We will definitely be going back again!  Here are some photos from our day.  We did our best, but if you know my son, you know that slowing down to smile for the camera is not on his to-do list.

Driving a race car!

Cooking something delicious!

This was the "Noodle Forest".  Everett was a bit hesitant at first, but it wasn't long until he was running through.
