Muffins with Mom

This week was "Muffins with Mom" at Everett's school. I watched their little song and then we had our treat. Next up was a manicure for Mom! Everett painted my nails a pretty pink. Then, Everett made me my first macaroni necklace. I got a bit misty-eyed at that. What a quintessential kid craft! Finally, Everett made a crown for me to be queen for the day (but he decided he wanted the crown and to be queen instead, in true Everett fashion). But the best gift of all was his surprise nap on the couch in the afternoon. Sleeping like an angel.

Faster, Little Brother, Faster!

Everett and Lionel were not born best friends. They really have to work at it. I hope that won't always be the case, but it might be. We have been seeing more friend than foe behavior lately and it's been nice. I really chuckled when I first saw Lionel hop on the back of the tricycle as Everett was riding it. He wore a huge grin. Well, that inspired these photos. Everett cashed in on those rides and made little brother take him around the house twice. I love the second picture because Everett looks like a dictator enjoying the suffering of his minion and Lionel looks pooped!

To the Rescue!

We've had Avenger fever over here. Billy and I actually went to see the movie. The boys just begged for all the merchandise. What can I say? I'm a sucker for a superhero. (P.S. I know that Hulk mask will haunt your dreams!)
