Pool Party!

Gabe came over to play today and the boys had a little pool party.  While I was filling the pool, my back was turned and before I knew it, they were both in, shoes and all.  The floor of the pool was pretty slippery for some reason so it was hilarious to see them sliding all over.  They loved it!  Everett was in his glory, splashing around and ramming the pool walls in order to be bounced back into the water.  He is upstairs passed out as I type.

Model Train Museum

Billy found a Model Train Museum and we took Everett.  It was really neat.  Everett enjoyed seeing all the "choo-choos".

This is the new face Everett was making every time we asked him to smile.

At the Dog Beach

Zoe, amazingly enough, has seen both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.  We took her to a dog beach  and she had the time of her life!  It took Everett quite a while to warm up to the beach. He liked seeing all the dogs running around and eventually kicked and splashed around.

At the Hotel

Everett loved jumping into the pool

What kind of face is that?

Road Trip!

We got out of Dodge for a few days and drove to San Diego.  Everett is a great traveler!  He enjoyed our lunch break on the road and made himself quite at home at the hotel.  Of course, Thomas and friends came with us.

Everett loved that the microwave was at his level.

Big Brother Practice

I have been talking about babies with Everett a lot lately.  I point them out when I see them out and about and we play with an old Cabbage Patch.  Everett has become really gentle with the baby.  When I make it "cry", he comes over and gives it a hug and kiss.  It is so sweet!  I think he is going to be a great big brother!

My Special Mother's Day

It was a special morning at our house.  Dada got up with Everett so Mama could sleep in and then delivered breakfast in bed to her!  Dada made Mama a beautiful collage full of pictures of her and Everett and Everett's card to Mama was a recordable one that when opened, was Everett's voice saying, "I love you Mama".  Mama was crying!  She loves her boys so much!

In Dada's Shoes

Everett's new favorite past time is putting on Dada's shoes and walking around in them.  The first day, he just barely got them on, but then once he figured out how, he has done it a bunch of times.  He can walk all the way across the room and does so with a huge, proud smile on his face.  Plus, he has incredible balance!  He can stand on one foot for extended periods and stay very steady.

Worker Bee

Here's my little helper who was eager to vacuum when he saw Mama doing it.

Making a Splash!

We finally got Everett away from the train and playground and into the water.  He was pretty shy at first, but by the time we had to leave, he was definitely into it.  Dada even took a turn cooling down.
