Happy First Birthday to My Sweet Baby Boy!

PARTY!

On Everett's real birthday, we went to have his picture taken and had lunch at Red Robin (Everett got to have "real" mac and cheese off the kids menu). It wasn't what we'd planned to do, but the day kind of evolved after our disastrous photo shoot. On Sunday, we had a party with our Arizona family. It was brunch so we feasted on waffles, bacon, eggs, sausage, and fruit and of course, birthday cake. Everett really enjoyed everyone singing to him, but the boy who puts EVERYTHING in his mouth would not eat his cake! Once I showed him it was good ("Hmmm, what is this sweet tasting stuff and where's it been all my life?"), he gobbled it up.

He didn't open his own gifts, but at least stayed in the same room as I did it.

We had a fantastic day and were so happy to spend it with our wonderful friends.

Happy Birthday!

Everett received this rocking chair from Papa Choo-Choo and Grandma Deb. We put it together the night before and this is him discovering it on his birthday. He loves it! He will enjoy reading in it.

Strike a Pose

Everett now says "Cheese!" and poses for the camera. Below are some of his "cheesiest" smiles. (And yes, in the second one, my son is sitting in our dishwasher.)

Mama Mia!

These pictures are from the day Everett tried red sauce on his pasta. It goes without saying that he loved it. I never knew spaghetti could make someone so happy!

Check out all those teeth!

Best Smile in the World

Daddy had to do some yard work, so Everett camped out in front of the window to watch. He was in an incredibly wonderful mood all day today. So close to being a one year old!!!
